The Art of the Day calendar.
The Barebrush February calendar series, Art of the Day features 28 artworks. The media are paintings, photos, drawing and mixed. February launches with a beautify woman in a striking display of ennui, Cathy, by New Jersey artist, Ed Hicks.
Ten artworks by in the February calendar make their calendar debut this month (Feb 1, 4, 5, 8, 9 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18). Eleven artworks have been in once before (Feb 2, 3, 6, 11, 13, 17, 19, 22, 24, 27 and 28) and seven artworks have been in twice ( Feb 7, 15, 20, 21, 23, 25 and 26) and will now be retired. Click on a thumbnail in the February calendar to see the Barebrush Provenance. You can also see the provenance if you click on the Art of the Day in the Home page or index. The reason for the ennui is probably not related to Washington DC, but it resonates with the current mood and disincentive to watch the news. Enjoy Barebrush art -- the antidote for ennui.
