Royse Contemporary Extends Gennaro Garcia's "You Are Art" Exhibition

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Jan. 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Due to Popular Demand Gennaro Garcia's solo exhibition "You Are Art" has been extended at Royse Contemporary through February 23, 2019. The exhibitionis currently showcasing the artist's latest vibrant multi-media collection of work inspired by his motto "You Are Art." Garcia explains, "when in times where it looks as though hate is winning in our culture, I prefer to see the beauty around, everything and everyone inspires me in my art". Garcia says his passion, as an artist is to "create art in every single technique, style, color and texture.

"His artwork offers a distinct style, infused with familiar imagery and subjects inspired by both his Mexican and American identities, religious references and his heritage, states Nicole Royse, Owner/Curator of Royse Contemporary. His process is something that one just doesn't see done today utilizing a combination of Italian techniques from working with oils, acrylics, wood, plaster blended with a vibrant color palette from his childhood growing up in Mexico. "Art is addictive and therapeutic, it is the best way to communicate the way I feel, think, love", declares Garcia.

Garcia has extensively exhibited his artwork in more than 80 exhibitions in the last 5 years and his work is featured in 10 galleries in USA and Mexico throughout the United States and Mexico. He has been featured in numerous local and national publications most recently in Phoenix Home & Garden, Phoenix Magazine, Arizona Foothills Magazine, Phoenix New Times, and Univision. Garcia is also the resident artist at Xico Inc.- Latin & Native American Arts Organization.
