MINNEAPOLIS - Jan. 23, 2019 - PRLog -- Eleven years ago, the Twin Cities Steppers Association President/Founder, Kevin Johnson had a vision about honoring African American women who made a big difference in their communities. Mr. Johnson who produces the "Celebrating The Sistas" felt these women deserved ongoing recognition for their efforts and took the leadership in making his vision a reality.

"Celebrating the Sistas" also recognizes leadership and dedication towards maintaining healthy families, safe communities, educating children, closing the achievement gap, focusing on social justice and economic empowerment.

"Celebrating the Sistas" is an event that serves to recognize the outstanding contributions that African American Women and Women of Color have made in the Twin Cities, while eliminating roadblocks and overcoming obstacles along the way.
