The expansion will begin with a groundbreaking in Spring 2019 when the company will build a new 100,000-square-foot, two-story headquarters in Pewaukee's Northmound industrial area on 10-acres at Northmound Drive overlooking I-94. The project and architecture, permitting and approvals, building construction, buildout and tenant space is a partnership entity with Paul Davis and Briohn Building Corporation in Brookfield.

In 1990, Paul Davis was established on Milwaukee's North Side and moved to the city's South Side converting a lumber yard and Aelco Foundry into a riverfront campus as the current headquarters at 2000 S. 4th Street. During this time, renowned siblings, commercial developers, and restoration professionals Dan Druml and Meg Boyle owned and operated the business. In 2013, ownership was established by long-time Paul Davis employees Brady Chuckel, Jeff Hertel and Tim Guilette. The highly-successful and philanthropic company continued to grow further while adding territories in Green Bay, Brown and Door counties.

According to Brady Chuckel, President of the Paul Davis office, more than 100 of the current employees and 70 vehicles will be housed at the Pewaukee facility. The expansion of the company's footprint and capabilities will focus on future success and what is done in the present with prudent planning and a hiring focus to attract professional tradespeople, skilled technicians, administrative support, and sales and marketing specialists, among others.

"Paul Davis will provide an environment that encourages growth of the company and its employees with state-of-the-art equipment, calculated workplace layouts, and ample room for growth as the business continues its burgeoning trajectory," said Chuckel.

Plans at the new headquarters include education and classroom space, a specialized and updated remodeling department plus showrooms. Functions that are currently in multiple buildings will be housed in one facility to create greater efficiencies, improve collaboration, and offer areas for future growth. Enhanced technology will be placed throughout the facility for training, collaboration, and operations.

According to Nelson Williams, CEO of Briohn Building Corporation, his firm will specifically assist to build and design the new facility for improved flow during all Paul Davis work to help manage labor costs and reduce handling while allowing for flexibility, new technologies and procedures.

Large group education space for employees, industry associations and client groups, will feature adjoining entertainment space in both interior and exterior areas to offer break-out opportunities during sessions.

Chuckel places particular importance on new and improved amenities such as break rooms, exercise areas, locker rooms, and indoor/outdoor places for recreation. Office areas will be organized to allow each department to perform its unique functions, while offering adjacencies and shared conference and team spaces to foster a collaborative environment. Office areas overlook the floor below for visual connectivity to the processes below.

"We are designing the new location for growth within each of our work departments and for enhanced business opportunities," said Chuckel. "For example, our drivers and technicians will work from a centralized interior truck bay for loading, unloading, and resupply of company vehicles, and access to provisions for greater staging of large loss, catastrophe work and rapid response needs," he said. "Also, the clean, organized flow will serve as a showpiece to potential clients, showing that Paul Davis is uniquely suited to care for their homes, offices and contents."

The location provides I-94 visibility with a high traffic count and nearby major exits. "There is a desire to be on the corridor west of Milwaukee, as we see a more convenient location for reaching potential clients and projects," added Chuckel. Partnering with Briohn Corporation will also provide Paul Davis with the opportunity to obtain the industrial land and transition from the company's longtime in-town space to a more comprehensive environment.
