Dranoff's PIANO SLAM's county-wide Music-based poetry competition has worked with over 75,000 Mami-Dade Public middle and high school students making Classical music fun and an inspiration for their own creative writing. From Hialeah to the Beaches and Miami Gardens to Homestead, the Dranoff 2 Piano Foundation has been connecting teenagers love of music to professional performance artists across creative boundaries for over a decade.
2019 marks eleven years of the Dranoff 2 Piano Foundation's PIANO SLAM bringing top international classical pianists to showcase the award winning literary voices of Miami Dade Public School's top teen poets matching their Spoken Word with professional Classical and Hip-hop artists in this FREE Concert at the Arsht.
PIANO SLAM 11 takes place on Thursday, February 28th at 7:30PM at the Knight Concert Hall in the Adrienne Arsht Center located at 1300 Biscayne Blvd,
Miami FL 33132.
PIANO SLAM concert is FREE but tickets are required. Tickets available at www.arshtcenter.org starting February 4th.

ILANA RANSOM TOEPLITZ is a New York-based director/choreographer specializing in musicals, new work and comedy. Ilana has developed and directed the premieres of new work with Lincoln Center, Keen Company, York Theatre, Berkshire Theatre Group, New York Theatre Barn, the New York Musical Theatre Festival, Feinstein's/
STEPHANIE HO & SAAR AHUVIA collaborate as Duo Stephanie & Saar in performances noted for their artistic versatility, elegance and intellectual curiosity. Based in New York City and performing at top concert halls nationally and abroad, Stephanie Ho and Saar Ahuvia are the artistic directors of Makrokosmos Project, a music festival in Portland, Oregon dedicated to contemporary American music and performances by Oregon-based performers and composers.
DJ CARDI is a Miami born and bred DJ that has DJ'ed all over the world thanks to his residency at The Cove Atlantis Bahamas. Local Miami hot spots where he can be seen are the American Airlines Arena for Miami HEAT, The Wharf, and poolside at the Fontainebleau.
AUGUSTO SOLEDADE is a 2008 Guggenheim Fellow, is the Founder/Artistic Director and resident choreographer for Brazzdance in Miami. Mr. Soledad is a professor of Dance at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
BRAZZDANCE is a leading Miami contemporary dance company, led by renowned Brazilian choreographer Augusto Soledade.
