International Songwriters Day is not only a day of celebration but the organization plans to get involved in advocacy on behalf of the rights of songwriters. They will be partnering with organizations and charities that work in this area.
What better way than to start a day in their honour?! "Take a songwriter to lunch, buy their CD, some merchandise, follow them on social media, basically show them some love!" That is what International Songwriters Day is all about, the annual event begins April 9.
