Maryland Organizations Partner to Give FREE Feminine Hygiene Products During Government Shutdown

Jan. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- As the government shutdown nears 28 days, two Maryland organizations have partnered to supply women with free feminine hygiene products.

Non-profit organization Goodie Girl Bags and specialty lingerie boutique Cherry Blossom Intimates have joined forces to distribute personal care packages. On Saturday, January 19, 2019 between 10AM and 2PM, the organizations will distribute the packages at Cherry Blossom Intimates.

Felicia Biles of Goodie Girl Bags says, "Feminine hygiene products can be expensive, as we know, and the furlough doesn't stop menstrual cycles. Our non-profit has a large inventory of these products and we felt that this was the perfect time to help women in our community."

Jasmine Jones of Cherry Blossom Intimates added, "Our boutique prides itself in being a beautiful source of comfort for women in the community. When Felicia presented the idea, we knew that women would appreciate the relief of the monthly financial burden."

Care packages will be distributed at Cherry Blossom Intimates on Saturday, January 19th between 10am and 2pm while supplies last. Please present government identification at pick up.
