Portland Cement Zambia Case Was Misdirected And Judgment Influenced, Claims Dr. Rajan Mahtani

LUSAKA, Zambia - Jan. 16, 2019 - PRLog -- After the final result on the Portland Cement Zambia case lying at the Lusaka High Court for over a decade, many eyebrows were raised. Those following the case know for a fact that the real ownership of the factory belonged to Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman, philanthropist and charity worker. After the cement factory was illegally taken over from Dr. Mahtani, he filed a case at the Lusaka High Court. Sadly, the limitation and shortcomings of the Zambia legal system stretched a case which was straightforward.

Some of these evidences included signed shareholder's agreement, financial statements which clearly indicated his investment of more than USD 12 million for factory's development and independent audit report which proved that the factory was established as a joint venture and Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the sole joint venture partner for the factory. Despite these strong facts and evidences, the final judgment was given against Dr. Mahtani's claims which shocked everyone.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani as of now has approached the higher court of Zambia and has made an appeal against this misdirected and influenced judgment,
