Mid-State Add Executive HR Consultant Tammy Halsey

ROANOKE, Va. - Jan. 14, 2019 - PRLog -- Mid-State HR is pleased to introduce Tammy Halsey, Executive Employment Advisor, providing HR professionals with expert services ranging from compliance to group health alter-native funding.
     As a member of the growing Mid-State HR team, she is passionate about making a positive impact on area businesses with veteran consultation and customized training.
     Tammy has a diverse human resources and insurance background spanning more than 25 years. She specializes in health care, manufacturing, auto dealerships, large restaurant franchises, non-profits, and the gas/oil industry.
     "Tammy provides unique insight due to her deep experience across multiple competencies, including group benefits, personal insurance, and human resource management," says Ronny Michelle Smith, director of Mid-State HR. "She also has tremendous expertise in workers' comp, voluntary worksite, employee performance management, and HR information systems.
     As a Roanoke-based development specialist for a national employee benefits agency, she managed customer accounts across Virginia and West Virginia.
     She also was vice president of sales for a Roanoke insurance agency and founded the employee benefits division.
     Before that, she managed the customer service department for a Salem employee benefits firm, followed by a decade of employee benefits consulting with area businesses to include HR reporting and compliance. Tammy also worked in HR at a large Virginia furniture manufacturer.
