New company 'Laenus' launches to disrupt care and education recruitment in the UK

STROUD, U.K. - Jan. 14, 2019 - PRLog -- A new company called Laenus has launched in the UK to offer a range of innovative talent consulting and recruitment services designed specifically to help the UK social care and education sectors address it's people challenges.

Combining the strategies and efficiencies of MSP and RPO used by businesses on a global scale, their offering includes a targeted permanent recruitment service that bridges that gap between executive search and agency recruitment.  The industry has been calling for a deeper search of the market and more reliable fill-rates but without the high fees associated with true headhunting. In response, their founding partners have spent much of 2018 developing the Laenus CQI (Care Quality Index) platform, an assessment tool designed collaboratively with business psychologists and sector leaders in order to benchmark candidates against the top competencies required to be a successful home manager.

The UK social care sector has traditionally been slow to adapt to new talent attraction technologies and innovations.  Even the largest care groups and heaviest investors in talent face fundamental hiring and retention challenges. Despite the UK needing 3,200 extra elderly care homes by 2026 to meet demand, 700 closed in the two years to May 2018, many of which were due to recruitment and retention challenges or factors closely related.
