Foundations Health Nursing Home Awarded Top Performer by ACHCA

CLEVELAND - Jan. 11, 2019 - PRLog -- Pine Grove Healthcare Center, a Five-Star and deficiency-free Foundations Health nursing home in Geneva, Ohio has been awarded as a top performer by the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA).

Each year, ACHCA recognizes the leaders of top-performing skilled nursing facilities across the country through its Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. The Award is given to facilities who excel in the areas of MDS quality measures, occupancy, and survey data from the Ohio Department of Health.

Like Foundations Health, ACHCA believes facility excellence to be a direct reflection of leadership excellence. Pine Grove Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Brandi Franklin, is a shining example of strong servant leadership, and is a pioneer in regards to the Culture of Care that Foundations Health is committed to providing in all of its 55 nursing facilities across Ohio.

To be considered for the ACHCA Eli Pick Facility Leadership award, the facility must meet all of the following criteria:

• The current administrator has been the administrator of record for the full calendar year
• No survey (Health, Fire Safety, and Complaint) in the past 3 years with a citation above "E" in Scope and Severity
• Occupancy of at least 80% as defined by CMS Survey Report
• Avoidance of Special Focus Facility status
• At least two CMS 4-quarter average QM score equal or better than the top quartile for the USA for the following quality measures: Short Stay Pain, Long Stay Pain, Short Stay Pressure Ulcers, Long Stay Pressure Ulcers, Long Stay UTI, Short Stay Psychotropic Meds, Long Stay Psychotropic Meds, Short Stay % Improvement in Function

Only 7% of facilities qualify for this award nationwide.
