The Best Baroque Concert is coming to Ontario, from the Southland Symphony Orchestra

ONTARIO, Calif. - Jan. 9, 2019 - PRLog -- The Southland Symphony is excited to present the Best Baroque Concert - Our conductors are "Going for Baroque" -with I Solisti di Ontario. Virtuoso soloists from our own orchestra are featured in this lively, energetic and fun presentation of music from the Baroque era.

Under the direction of Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann (Music Director & Conductor) and George Osorio (Assistant Conductor), the orchestra is featuring Cheri Cole, trumpet soloist, and soprano Rebecca Sjowall, soprano. Additional soloists include concertmaster Debbie Gagnon, principal flute Jenifer Aragon, pianist Mary Au; and violist Lisa Santana (performing with Dr. Mann for Brandenburg Concerto No. 6!).

About the Southland Symphony Orchestra & Chorus:

The Southland Symphony presented its first concert in Ontario on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The orchestra's founder and director, Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann, who had recently relocated to the area, saw a need and an opportunity to bring symphonic music to the larger Ontario Community, a community which was already embracing arts and culture. Since that first concert, we have presented more than 40 free, full-orchestra concerts for this community. Our Symphony Chorus joined the SSO family in 2016, rapidly earning a  nationwide reputation of excellence, and was one of the outstanding choruses performing in Distinguished Concerts International's 2018 Presidents' Day Concert presentation of the Mozart "Requiem". The SSO has presented internationally renowned soloists from all over the globe, performing music of the greatest composers of history, and music of great composers still living today.The Southland Symphony is a non-profit organization, and needs your support to continue presenting these world-class quality concerts!
