Hybrid Health Moves to New Website Following the 2018 Farm Bill

This move is in tandem with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill. Its predecessors, the 2008 and 2014 Farm Bills, helped the hemp production industry boom nationally and particularly in regions that were previously dominated by the tobacco industry and other farm industries whose income had been dropping by increasingly larger margins each year.

The most important part of the 2018 Farm Bill is the permanent removal of hemp from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), indicating the full legalization of industrial hemp. In addition to the legalization of industrial hemp, it also allows hemp-derived products to be transported across state lines for commercial and alternative purposes, as well as putting no restrictions on the sale or possession of hemp-derived products as long as the products are made in such a way that is consistent with the law, i.e. less than .3% THC content. There are a few restrictions written into the law which make it illegal to cultivate hemp without a license or producing cannabis with more than .3% THC, however, this paves the way for conducting more extensive and in-depth research into hemp-based products.
