Selling on Rakuten? The category templates have changed & We've updated

Recently, Rakuten has changed product feed specification that you used to create for your BigCommerce Rakuten integration. To comply with that feed standards updated by Rakuten, we have made the changes in ExportFeed BigCommerce app.

If you've not started selling your BigCommerce products through Rakuten, here's how you submit your product feed.

Uploading Shopify or BigCommerce products on Rakuten

• Create product feed using the updated ExportFeed app
• Login to your Rakuten seller account
• Go to the Product Catalog and click on Products
• Click on the Bulk Actions Menu and select Upload product feed
• Click on Add / Edit products and click on choose File
• Now, select your downloaded Shopify or BigCommerce Rakuten feed file
• Then upload the CSV file created using ExportFeed to Rakuten

What has changed in ExportFeed Shopify or BigCommerce app for Rakuten Marketplace?

When you create product feed for Rakuten, it is important that you map the product categories of BigCommerce to that of Rakuten.com.

Not only this is necessary because sellers are able to list  products correctly but also to increase the search-ability and improve the conversion aspects of products on Rakuten.

Rakuten feed specification on category template for Inventory SKU has gone through a major overhaul recently. One of the major change that Rakuten has made to it is that you don't need to send the seller Id in the feed.
