Retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class From Florida Wins The Super Truck Dream Giveaway!
By: New Beginning Children's Homes
Included in the grand-prize package is the world's only "Haulcat,"—a 707hp Hellcat-powered 2018 Ram truck—plus $10,000 towards the prize taxes!
On November 26, 2018, Mr. Hesson made a donation to enter the Super Truck Dream Giveaway. Little did he know that after eight years of making donations to help out the great charities involved with the Dream Giveaway sweepstakes that he was finally holding the winning ticket! "I continued to donate over the years because there is always that chance you could win," he said. "The charities were another reason though. Being able to help the charities involved was always a good thing."
On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, he received the news via telephone that he had won the inaugural Super Truck Dream Giveaway. "When I first got the call, my first thought was: You're kidding me, right?" he said. "It still really hasn't sunk in yet that I have won. It probably won't sink in until I see the truck."
Mr. Hesson served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and retired as sergeant first class. He has always considered himself to be a car guy and loves working on automotive projects when he has the opportunity. Before joining the U.S. Army, he owned a 1954 Chevrolet, several 1957 Chevrolets, a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, and a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.
The Super Truck Dream Giveaway award ceremony will be held on January 11th, 2018, at 3PM in Clearwater, Florida. It will be broadcast live on Facebook and available for viewing on YouTube. The public and media are invited to attend.
