PRLog -- The Whistle Stop Gallery is proud to name Robert Hilger the 2018 Master Artist. Gallery Proprietor Joseph A. Langley first experienced Mr. Hilger's artistic talents with his entries in the Winter*17 web Show last year. "I was very impressed with Mr. Hilger's pen and pencil work," Langley states, "which was the reason I awarded him the Winter*17 Best of Show." The Gallery is fortunate to regularly display Hilger's powerful works, and is very excited to offer a new solo exhibition of Mr. Hilger's artwork in the Darkroom at the State Street Station. "You don't want to miss this very special exhibit," Langley says.
'Winter Dreams – Hilger's Forest' features three of Mr. Hilger's pieces that will be seen for the first time at any of the Gallery's venues. This show-within-
a-show exists in its own space in the heart of 'Happy Holidays from the Whistle Stop Gallery.' The Darkroom is transformed into a unique setting for his work. "It's quite an experience."
The Whistle Stop Gallery – State Street Station (1938 State St. Granite City, IL 62040) will be open Dec. 19 – 23 from 1-4 pm. The exhibit is free to attend and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
The Whistle Stop Gallery's Master Artist designation is a program of the Whistle Stop Gallery. Proprietor Joseph A. Langley chooses the Master Artists based on technique, subject exploration, development of individual style, and other factors. The Whistle Stop Gallery accepts neither applications nor recommendations for this honor.
