RTC Enters Contract For Sale of 250 Electric Motorcycles
RTC will begin production of its third generation advanced electric powertrain for motorcycles in February 2019. Production of the high power electric motorcycles is part of a push by RTC to become a world leader in the electric powertrain industry.
RTC's new liquid-cooled motor, controller, and battery pack is one of the most advanced in the industry. RTC's electric motorcycle includes new technology never before seen in the motorcycle industry including an inhouse designed VCU and telemetry unit with ride data automatically uploaded to the cloud for ride data sharing or ride analyzing for efficiency. The motorcycle also includes a torque vectoring system to prevent wheel slip in corners and to limit the wheelie angle selectable by users. The new motorcycle includes fully selectable drive profiles where the rider can select torque, high speed, wheelie angle, wheel slip, parking mode, energy regeneration profile, and much more.
RTC's new motorcycle can be ridden by both beginners and track professionals who can change the profile of the bike with the push of a button. Initial orders will be available online at RTC's website at http://www.revmotiv.com with distribution centers scheduled to open in Los Angeles and Las Vegas in Mid 2019. Estimated price of the new 3rd Generation motorcycle is scheduled to start at $10,500 with 200nM of torque, 45kW of power and battery options ranging from 8kWh to 14kWh with an estimated range of up to 320km, and a charging time to 80% of just 20 minutes.
Small-scale production for testing has already begun and large-scale production will begin in early 2019.
