Local PODS® Announces Its Ninth Year Helping Toys for Tots Deliver Holiday Cheer to Children

VENTURA, Calif. - Dec. 12, 2018 - PRLog -- Local PODS moving and storage will once again support the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation this year by donating their containers to store donated toys at collection points and by transporting the donations to local Toys for Tots distribution centers. In 2017 alone, PODS provided over $167,000 worth of services and 177 containers to U.S. Marine Corps toy drives across the United States.

PODS' local efforts in Ventura County have been supporting PODS' national Toys for Tots programs since 2009. In the 71 years since the Toys for Tots program began, the Marines have distributed more than 548 million toys for 251 million less fortunate children across the United States.

PODS will deliver their patented containers wherever they're needed, including radio stations, toy drives, and Marine bases, for the collection and storage of toys until toy distribution days. This year, Local PODS will have three containers out for collection until Dec.14 at the Salvation Army located at 1550 West Branch St. in Arroyo Grande and will distribute the toys Dec. 18-20.
