By: Ingleside Homes Many seniors are on fixed incomes and enter Ingleside's doors without furniture, clothing or basic personal care items. This makes it difficult to remain self-sufficient and to live with dignity. Through the generous contribution from Tower Hill students, seniors have personal items that will last for months, and our social workers and nurses can assist those in immediate need. "The Tower Hill service program serves two purposes. For the students, they learn that every gift is meaningful. For the seniors, they learn that they are not alone and that someone cares about their needs. We are grateful to Tower Hill students and staff for making these generous gifts to Ingleside Homes." Renata J. Maslowski, Director of Marketing and Sales. The Tower Hill School Community led by Kimberly Fabbri Ph.D. who teaches history in addition to planning and implementing the Service Learning program for the private school students, Pre-K-12. During the last two weeks of November, the students collected personal care items for low-income seniors at Ingleside Homes. The students collected dozens of personal use items including cases of toothpaste, Band-Aids, shampoo, toothbrushes, toiletries, sheets, shower curtains, brushes, combs and more! "We cannot thank the students of the Tower Hill Community enough for their gifts, and for recognizing the challenges of being elderly and without money to buy the most basic human needs. Your giving inspired our care team and all of our staff who sorted the boxes of goods! Thank you all!" Lawrence R. Cessna, President/CEO Ingleside Homes has partnered with Tower Hill Community for over 20 years. Our Intergenerational program allows the 4th grade students at Tower Hill and Ingleside's seniors to share music, meals, artwork, and group projects. Students learn to appreciate the challenges of their senior "buddies," while Ingleside residents enjoy learning about the student's curriculum, talents, and abilities. About Ingleside Homes Inc.
