The lamps are cut on a large format laser cutter capable of cutting 3 lamps consisting of four 6" x 16" panels at a time.  Currently keeping up with orders isn't a problem, still Artist Peter Katz envisions a time when adding another laser cutter will become necessary.  "It's a scary prospect to think of large capital expenditures like buying a large format laser cutter but without it there is no way we could keep up with current demand."  With increased national exposure Katz is confident that the laser cutter will pay for itself.  "Vermont Lamps" is banking on lamps with tropically inspired scenes of paradise and snow-covered ski lifts to propel their lamps into living rooms from coast to coast.

"Vermont lamps" was created by Vermont Artist Peter Katz and his partner Shana Carlson.  The two live on the shores of Lake Champlain in Colchester, Vermont.  Shana takes care of day to day operations and the books.  Peter creates and produces lamps daily.
