-- Luther Hopkins Honda of the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers Association (GTCHDA) will donate $2,500 each to Eden Lake Elementary and Gatewood Elementary in a check presentation ceremony on Dec. 7. The donation is a part of the association's "Life is Better Thanks to the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers" campaign which allows the GTCHDA to give back to the community.
As part of the campaign, each of the Honda dealerships within the association donates up to $5,000 to select schools within their communities. Now in its second year of the campaign, the association has donated a combined total of $45,000 to local area schools. This will be Luther Hopkins Honda's second $5,000 check donation to their community, bringing their total community donations to $10,000. Both ceremonies will be filmed and aired on KMSP.
"When we started this initiative, I didn't comprehend the impact of $5,000," said Allison. "The school's administration, teachers and students are so excited but it trickles down to the parents, grandparents and the rest of the community. This is really a unique and great program we have."
Both check presentation ceremonies will be attended by Luther Hopkins Honda's General Manager and GTCHDA President Kyle Allison, and Customer Relations Manager Michelle Ally. Eden Lake Elementary School's Principal Tim Beekman will be present to receive the check at the first presentation, while Principal Mark French will receive Gatewood Elementary School's check at the second presentation.About the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers:
