ST. GEORGE, Utah - Dec. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Siblings Dennis and Benjamin Coon and Misty Carver are pleased to announce the launch of their new in-home care business, Home Helpers of St. George.

Home Helpers is the nation's leading franchise specializing in comprehensive home care for seniors, new mothers and individuals needing recuperative and continuing assistance. Home Helpers of St. George also offers Direct Link, its proprietary line of 24/7 medical alert systems, including a fall sensor with GPS locator and an automated medication dispenser. Home Helpers of St. George serves all of Washington County and Iron County, including St. George, Washington, Hurricane, La Verkin, Leeds, Santa Clara, Ivins, Toquerville, Pintura, New Harmony, Kanarraville, Hamilton's Fort, Cedar City, Enoch and the surrounding communities.

"There are 12 kids in our family and our dad was in the Navy, so we moved a lot. Even now many of us live in different parts of the country.  We are a really close family and understand how it feels to want to care for someone and make sure they are OK, even when you're not there. Whether you bring in a caregiver to help while you're at work or because you're across the country, at Home Helpers, we want our caregivers to be your extended family," Ben said.

Home Helpers' full-range of home care services empower clients to live healthier and more rewarding lives in the privacy, safety and comfort of their own homes.  Home Helpers of St. George offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person's individual needs. Services offered include personal care such as grooming, bathing, ambulation, medication management and care management as well as respite care, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, companionship and transportation.

Misty is a school teacher who also coaches people on financial literacy and personal development. Dennis has a bachelor's degree in Economics, a master's degree in business administration, and serves in the Army Reserves.  He has been in the reserves for 15 years with 2 deployments and 8 years on active duty. Misty and Dennis have been in real estate together since 2007 and Ben has been working in sales. The three were looking to own a business together, but they hadn't found the right fit until they learned about Home Helpers.

"We knew we didn't want to open a restaurant or sell coffee – we wanted to do something meaningful that could make a real impact on the lives of people in our community. Home Helpers spoke to us not only because it's a great business opportunity, but because, as we thought about our own parents, we realized how important having a professional, compassionate caregiver could be," Dennis said. "We know how important family is and how important it is to have someone reliable and trustworthy to be there with your family when they need a little extra help because of aging, injury or illness."

Home Helpers specializes in helping families care for their loved ones so they can focus on spending quality time together – not just being full-time caregivers – which is something Misty got to see first-hand.

"I have a friend whose parents lived with her and, even though the family was home and helping out, they had a professional caregiver at the house too. It wasn't that the family couldn't provide those caregiving services, but by having a professional there, the family could focus on spending time together and being a family rather than on things like personal care and running errands. It's about improving the quality of the time you get to spend together and I'm looking forward to helping families get more quality time through Home Helpers," Misty said.
