Nepal Airlines is flying to Japan after a decade. It had stopped its flight to Japan in the year 2017. The inspection team is already headed towards Kansai International airport, Osaka to inspect the runway.
As per the airline, it will do 3 flights to Osaka in a week. Further, after 6 months after a flight to Osaka, airlines are also planning to fly to Narita International airport also known as Tokyo Narita Airport. However, the exact details regarding the flight to Narita are yet to be disclosed by the airlines' authority.
After starting 3 flights per week, the airlines will increase its flight to 6 times per week. Now, as per the capacity of two airlines, they will be flying 15/16 hours per day.
Till date, two national carriers A 330-200 and 1 B757 is flying to 8 destinations (Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Doha, and Dubai).
This is a good news for tourism entrepreneurs and also for the country. Direct flight connections will be convenient to the Japanese tourist for Nepal tour packages. If all goes well inbound tourism from Japan is expected to increase. This is a good news for the Nepalese economy and tourism sector.
However, adding flights may also add confusion and delays as it is required to improve the infrastructure of the Kathmandu international airport, Nepal. More flights will require more parking space and as per the present infrastructure, there is the possibility of high air traffic leading to unnecessary delays.
If all goes well Nepal tour packages will be served in a large number of tourists entering Nepal through the national carrier.
