Fuwa Fuwa is Opening a Second Location with an Exclusive Chocolate-Inspired Menu

The pancake menu at the new Yonge and Eglinton outpost will be entirely different from its Bloor West predecessor. As if Fuwa Fuwa's products weren't already Instagram-worthy enough, every single pancake in the new location will include some form of a chocolate component. Their signature will be a twist on a beloved childhood treat. The Oreo Pancakes will be made with luscious milk chocolate batter topped with velvety Oreo cream, and then finished with the classic cookie. For that extra touch of nostalgia, the pancakes will be served with milk on the side. Those looking to experience something completely new, the Matcha White Chocolate Pancakes are the perfect mix of eastern and western flavours; served with a decadent white chocolate Matcha sauce, then topped with Red Bean Paste, Japanese Mochi, and accompanied by a traditional vanilla ice cream. With the holidays are soon approaching, Fuwa Fuwa has all the warm and comforting chocolatey desserts to get you in the Christmas mood!

The soufflé pancakes trend is native to Osaka, Japan, where the pillow-like dessert first made waves being served at weddings. Its jiggly appearance and lighter than air texture became known for bringing smiles to everyone's faces and so, the delicious new creation became synonymous with happiness.

"Our soufflé pancakes bring happiness to everyone who eats them. When I was thinking of how to bring an even bigger smile to people's faces, the first thing I thought of was chocolate!" says Yuka Naka, the brand's co-owner, head-pastry chef, and Osaka native. In the chocaholic paradise she's set out to create with her new Fuwa Fuwa Pancakes location, she combines the two most well-known beloved desserts: pancakes AND chocolate!

The store's official grand opening will be on December 7^th. To celebrate this big milestone, Fuwa Fuwa will be giving out FREE pancakes on December 7^th and 8^th from 12pm -2pm at their new Yonge and Eglinton location, sharing happiness with their devoted Toronto fans!
