Firefly Instructor Michael Wertz Invited to Speak at Latin America Cisco Live in Cancun

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Nov. 30, 2018 - PRLog -- This Wednesday, December 5th, will be Firefly instructor Michael Wertz's 5th time being invited to speak at the Latin America Cisco Live event, a distinction normally reserved for Cisco employees.

"I love speaking at these events," said Wertz. "Very few people outside of Cisco Employees are invited, so it's a real honor. I started speaking at this event in 2015 and I've done it every year since. This is my chance to represent Firefly as a company and show people why we've been such a respected partner of Cisco for so many years."

Wertz has won Cisco's Distinguished Speaker Award several years in a row for his work at this conference, and his passion for the subject matter is evident. This year he will be teaching a session entitled "ACI Application Deployment with External Connectivity", and he's hoping that the engineers that attend his session will leave with a deeper understanding of ACI and how it can be used to improve existing infrastructure.

"There will be all kinds of engineers at this event, people from the network team up to network architects. Usually all of them have or will be purchasing ACI and they need to know how to connect it to their existing networks. I'm hoping that they'll leave my session with a better understanding of how ACI works under the covers and be able to connect the fabric to the outside world in a manner that aligns with their company's needs."

Instructor Bio: Michael Wertz
Michael Wertz is a Firefly instructor with over 20 years of experience in Service Provider and Data Center networks. He is the Lead Developer for Cisco Authorized ACI product training (SDN platform) – DCAC9K, ACI Test Drive™, and ACI advanced SE training (ACI-WIN). His teaching experience includes instructing at Cisco Systems with a focus primarily on Route/ Switch and Data Center. In 2012, he was awarded the title of "Top Quality Instructor" among Cisco Global Learning Partners, awarded to Instructors in each region who consistently focus on delivering quality training with average customer satisfaction scores above 4.6 annually. He also received the 2016 CCSI Instructor Excellence Award.
