GL Homes widens the ocean with BGC partnership

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Nov. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- "Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean." – Ryunosuke Satoro

The ocean just grew larger with a committed strategic partnership between GL Homes and Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County. GL Homes pledged $12,000 to the alliance they will share with the club. Both organizations already have an established commitment to youth programs in their community.

Glen Ryals, vice president of GL Homes, recently took part in two events showcasing the Club Kids. Artwork created by the youths were featured in an art exhibit for six weeks at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center followed by the Club's 11th Annual Steak & Steak Dinner where Club Kids were seated at each adult table to get to know them over a delicious steak dinner.

"There is a need for the services that these kids should have available to them and it aligns with our own mission for giving back and taking an active role in keeping these kids on a proper path." said Ryals.

GL Homes' established a larger presence in St. Lucie County with their 4,000 acre Valencia Cay 55+ community in Tradition featuring 481 homes. The new facility features a 34,000 square foot clubhouse and 5 acres of resort-style activities and amenities.

GL Homes will take part in the Club's annual search for their 'Youth of the Year' by sponsoring a scholarship as well as participating on a panel where the candidates and panel will engage in dialogue on topics such as local business, our community and leadership.

"GL Homes is a welcome addition to the Boys & Girls Clubs family of supporters. The net of opportunities for our Club Kids is cast even wider in this proverbial ocean with the support we graciously accept from GL Homes." said Will Armstead, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County.
