Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub Wins the Popular Vote for Second Year in a Row, and Previous 3-Peat Champion Caffe Luna Rosa is Top Choice of VIP Judges

Annual Taste-Off Competition Raised $1,500 Each for HOW Foundation of South Florida and Project Holiday

(Delray Beach, FL – November 20, 2018) Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane's Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas, today announced that the seventh annual BEST BITE restaurant competition attracted approximately 300 hungry friends and fans last week, while raising more than $3,000 that was shared evenly by two local patriotic organizations: the HOW Foundation of South Florida and Project Holiday.

Six local restaurants offered a variety of delicious taste sensations as they competed for the title of BEST BITE. And this year, the participating restaurants had two ways to win: by popular vote of the attendees, and by designation from a group of celebrity judges including photographer Emiliano Brooks, Mike Durkee with the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, and Jake Hampu with the veteran nonprofit United Dream.

Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub in Delray Beach won the popular vote for the second year in a row, while previous three-peat winner Caffe Luna Rosa was the top finisher according to the VIP Judges.

The other competing restaurants in BEST BITE 2018 were Avant, City Oyster & Sushi Bar, Pizza Rustica and Salt 7.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by the band 33 Years and the Atlantic High School Drum Line.
