Guernica and SIMA Studios agree to Content Partnership

Guernica, the non-profit magazine focusing on arts and politics and SIMA, a non-profit media agency focusing on celebrating impact cinema, have partnered to bring readers of Guernica short-form video content.

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Video is quickly becoming the main way online users absurd entertainment and information. Many of the main news outlets offer video to accompany their articles, because they know this is the prefered means of consumption by its users.  It's important for organizations to keep up with this change, so they can keep their users engaged. This partnership not only provide Guernica with a means to offer their users immersive content, but also give SIMA an additional distribution outlet for its films. SIMA's main objective is to support filmmakers who are on the front lines of social change. This can best be achieved if their stories are being seen by those who could potentially affect change on the issues the film's cover..  Guernica's online audience falls inline with SIMA's target demographic, so it was quickly apparent that the partnership was a no-brainer.

The partnership will see Guernica showcasing a short-form documentary monthly on it's site from SIMA's archives. The first film is entitled 'Noise Runs' and will be available this month on http://www.Guernicamag.com . The story follows a group of young Haitians who produce a radical newspaper in hopes of democratizing information. Each film that Guernica showcases will also include an interview from the filmmakers.

"We think that Guernica's readers will gravitate towards these short-form documentaries, based on the content that the magazine currently puts out", says SIMA's Director of Communication, Brandon Ross.

Guernica will be pulling from SIMA's massive collection of films, which include finalist and winners from it's annual awards competition that aims to highlight social impact films. Some of the past films in SIMA's archive include 'Albatross', 'Big Sonia', 'Jackson' and 'Out of the Darkness'
