Follow on Google News | Closets For Life Wins CotY Award for 6th YearBy: Closets For Life The project, a renovated walk-in closet in a 100-year old Minneapolis home, involved carving out additional closet space from the master bedroom to supplement an existing small walk-in closet. The project featured many unique components including a custom vanity and dual-purpose shelving unit. This is the sixth year Closets For Life has received an award in this competition, having also won awards in 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2011. Owner Rick Lyrek and his wife, Shari, are pictured in an attached photo after receiving the CotY award at the event on November 13, 2018. Hosted by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI-MN), the CotY awards recognize the best in Twin Cities residential remodeling and entries of this year's competition totaled more than $26 million worth of remodeling projects. Judging is based on problem-solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty by an impartial panel of industry experts.
