Williams, now 17 and a freshman at NYU, Stern School of Business, flew in to receive the award and recognize the young people in the JHF organization for all their tireless hours of planning and volunteering to make life better for those less fortunate than themselves.

"I am eternally grateful for the support of my mother and family," said Williams. "But most of all, I am humbled and blessed to be surrounded by young people and parents who recognize the world is bigger than them and work to make the lives of the less fortunate brighter with each passing deed," he concluded.

Although, much of the leaders at the top and the inspirational changemakers have gone on to the second phase of their life with entry into college, they've passed on the torch to the underclassmen. They continue to keep a watchful eye on their younger changemakers and return periodically to continue to inspire them and make sure the organization maintains their sustainability and continues to do good for communities JHF serves.

JHF continually increases the number of families and individuals serve and is all welcoming to new volunteers to keep the torch burning. Volunteer opportunities are available at volunteer@joshuasheart.org.

Joshua's Heart Foundation (JHF) was founded in 2005 in Miami, Florida by Joshua when he was four and a half years old and is dedicated to the fight against global hunger and poverty. JHF is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit, which empowers needy people to improve their quality of life by providing necessities like groceries and personal items. We also effectively engage and educate young people in committing to fight hunger and poverty on a global basis. For more information visit www.joshuasheart.org.
