Southern Energy Management joins fellow Certified B Corporations in 'Vote Every Day Campaign'

RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- On November 12, 2018 B Corporations around the world came together to launch the Vote Every Day Campaign. This campaign is a practical way for people to continue to voice their values and beliefs even though election day has passed. By endorsing companies that are committed to sustainability when deciding who to purchase from, work for, and do business with, people can vote everyday of the year--not just in November.

B Corps are a global community of companies (and their employees) committed to using business as a force for good. These companies are setting an example for a better way to do business by stressing transparency, environmental sustainability, and positive social impact in their products, services, and daily operations.

The Vote Every Day campaign launch coincides with a 2018 election season that was especially polarizing. Instead of waiting for the next election season, the vote every day movement allows people to push for the values they are passionate about by transforming their dollar bills into ballot slips. By changing spending habits and choosing to interact with companies that are environmentally and socially focused, consumers have the ability to make their voices heard and push other companies to adopt sustainable business practices. This campaign allows people to continually vote between election seasons and participate in a mass movement to promote a better way of conducting business.

Southern Energy Management owner and co-founder Bob Kingery views the Vote Every Day campaign as a chance to utilize day-to-day life as a way to promote change, and support the values you believe in.

"We all get a chance to vote every day, and we vote with our dollars, so take your time and energy to investigate and invest in companies that you believe in -- that believe in the same values that you have," Kingery said.

"If we all look at everyday as a chance to vote and realize that if we are able to support companies that share our values we can magnify our impact by using our dollars as a tool."
