Community coming together to feed and serve the homeless and families in need this thanksgiving

Redwood Gospel Mission is expecting 5,000 guests this Thanksgiving,
SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Nov. 15, 2018 - PRLog -- The Redwood Gospel Mission, along with dozens of local churches and hundreds of volunteers will join together to bring hope and help to the homeless and hungry of Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. A Thanksgiving meal waits for all who come to this event.

In addition to a lovely prepared Thanksgiving dinner, the event will also offer homeless and underprivileged men, women and families flu shots, free haircuts, foot washing, facials, manicures, winter coats, games and crafts for the children and other services and activities. We anticipate providing over 1,200 plusturkeys and food boxes this year to families who register in advance.

We have two events that we would like to share with you:

Food Bag Packing Event (125 volunteers):
Saturday, November 17thfrom 9am-12pm,

At Sonoma County Fairgrounds, in Hall of Flowers., 1350 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa.

The Great Thanksgiving Banquet on Wednesday (5,000 people): November 21stfrom 11am-6pm,

About Redwood Gospel Mission: The Redwood Gospel Mission with the help of hundreds of volunteers, the Mission serves over 123,000 meals, provides more than 48,000 bed-nights of shelter and distributes thousands of articles of clothing each year, as well as offering showers, haircuts and other services at its five housing facilities in the Santa Rosa area.
