PHOENIX - Nov. 15, 2018 - PRLog -- Barnes & Noble to Host Book Signing for Arizona Oddities: Land of Anomalies and Tamales

Local author Marshall Trimble  will be available to sign copies of book

Arizona has stories as peculiar as its stunning landscapes. The Lost Dutchman's rumored cache of gold sparked a legendary feud. Kidnapping victim Larcena Pennington Page survived two weeks alone in the wilderness, and her first request upon rescue was for a chaw of tobacco. Discover how the town of Why got its name, how the government built a lake that needed mowing and how wild camels ended up in North America. Author Marshall Trimble unearths these and other amusing anomalies, outstanding obscurities and compelling curiosities in the state's history.

About the Author:

Marshall Trimble has been called the "Will Rogers of Arizona" and the "Dean of Arizona Historians." He taught Arizona history at Scottsdale Community College for forty years before retiring in 2014. His first book was published in 1977, and since then, he's written more than twenty books and been inducted into several halls of fame, including the Arizona Veteran's Hall of Fame and the Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame. He makes his home in Scottsdale with his wife, Vanessa.
