A trip to Barcelona for 200 employees incorporated fine dining and magnificent scenery.

Celebrating five years of dedication and achievement, a leading energy firm contacted Portsmouth-based In2Events to create an unforgettable incentive event for its 200 employees. Given a brief that included a short flight, universal appeal and a range of activities, the event management agency considered various destinations before agreeing that Barcelona would offer the best experience.

The large team was split into three groups to ensure maximum efficiency during travel as well as throughout the event itself. Each group was taken on tours across multiple Gaudi sites before checking in at the luxurious NH Collection Tower, located in the city's new business and financial district.

The first night took the form of a gala dinner at the Cavas Codorniu Winery, the oldest family-run business in Spain. Here the teams were treated to world-class cuisine and spectacular views, complemented by authentic Spanish guitars, a flamenco show, photo booth and late-night DJ. The next morning involved a staff engagement event to showcase the company's ongoing success, followed by an interactive iPad treasure hunt that uncovered Barcelona's cultural diversity and hidden gems.

Finishing off the incentive event in a celebratory style, everyone visited the beachfront for a dinner at Opium, a cosmopolitan venue overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, with festivities in full flow until 3:30am.
