IRVINE, Calif. - Nov. 14, 2018 - PRLog -- 100+ OC Creative Professionals To Spend 54, Non-Stop Hours Helping Dreams for Schools

Forge54 volunteers to donate creative services free of charge for STEM education-focused nonprofit.

IRVINE (November 14, 2018)--  This weekend, over 100 volunteers will join together to create marketing collateral that will help Dreams for Schools spread their mission and expand their efforts. After receiving over 80 applications from nonprofits across Southern California, Orange County-based nonprofit Forge54 selected Dreams for Schools to receive the 2018 annual marketing services award.

The 6th annual marathon marketing weekend begins on FRIDAY, NOV. 16 at NOON and ends on SUNDAY, NOV. 18 at 6 P.M. That's 54 hours of working around the clock to deliver what typically takes months to complete. The event will take place at the brand new WIC Space business incubator space in Irvine. Professionals and students will work together to create videos, advertisements, social media strategies, a website, print materials and more.

"We are grateful to be the 2018 Forge54 receipt," said Dreams for Schools founder and executive director Nithin Jilla. "We as a team are personally looking forward to working with a creative team who understands how to build a brand and craft an impactful message. Forge54's team thinks differently and works collaboratively which aligns with how Dreams for Schools operates."

Last year, Forge54 worked with the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. Previous years have served the OC Food Bank, Playworks SoCal, Wells of Life and Illumination Foundation. In total, Forge54 has donated almost $2 million in services to local nonprofits in need. The services come in the form of updated logos and branding, web design and coding, mobile app creation, promotional videos, original photography, copywriting, social media strategies, and more.

"Forge54 was created to give talented young professionals a way to give back to their community in a significant way without having to donate a lot of money," said Forge54 executive board member and VP of MAB Digital Marketing Haris Karim. "And with this weekend, we can give in a way that is more valuable than what any of us could do in a single day of volunteering."

According to Karim, the volunteers involved in this event are donating the most valuable things they have to offer: creativity, experience, and skills. Once the event is complete, Forge54 will give Dreams for Schools tools and resources they can use to further their organization and promote their mission.

Said Karim: "We are good at what we do, and we have an opportunity to make a huge impact not only for this organization but for the Orange County community."
