25% China Tariffs Official Update

Customer Apprise Regarding the Modified Tariffs on Imports to the United States of America

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 13, 2018 - PRLog -- The succeeding information is applicable for imports from China to the U.S., and is a brief synopsis of the 13th revision to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule for the year 2018.

October marked the first full month post enactment of the 10% interim tariffs from the September 24, 2018 implementation. Beginning January 1, 2019 these duties will subsequently rise to 25%. In view of the impending rate increase, the U.S. has seen a record-breaking month, as industries alike are accelerating import shipments in anticipation of the new year. The delay in the tariff percentage upsurge has given companies a chance to amend current supply chain logistics in an attempt to economically alter import origins.

CLN has been proactive in our attempts to adequately inform our customers of the current and impending tariffs in a timely manner, and will continue to notify affected clients with detailed information.
