About Marc Baptiste
Born in Port-au-Prince Haiti, Haitian American Photographer Marc Baptiste moved to Brooklyn, NY when he was nine years old. With an early interest in photography and the visual arts, Baptiste went on to earn a BA in Commercial Art and Advertising. His love for his heritage influences all of his work. Known for his lighting, beauty, cinematic style and great energy, Baptistehas become an influential fashion and portrait photographer on the global stage. His career spans from New York to Paris, shooting for international magazines such Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Esquire, and Rolling Stone to name a few. Baptiste's portfolio has documented subjects from Top Celebrities including; Prince, Shakira, Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu, George Luka, Cicely Tyson, Yoko Ono, Misty Copeland and Spike Lee, with his most memorable subjects Michelle and Barak Obama, and Carmen de Lavallade. His dynamic commercial work is distinguished for its appeal in global markets.
