Melt Bakery Opens New Location at Macy's Herald Square Flagship Location
MANHATTAN, N.Y. - Nov. 9, 2018 - PRLog -- Melt Bakery, New York City's first ice cream sandwich shop, has opened a new location at the Macy's Herald Square flagship store. Melt Bakery will occupy a temporary space on the fifth floor in addition to a new cart on the second floor, men's side. A permanent location will be opened within Macy's starting in January 2019.
"We are so thrilled to be bringing our ice cream sandwiches to Macy's customers." Melt Bakery co-founder and pastry chef, Julian Plyter says. "We started at the Hester Street Fair in 2010 with $350 and a dream, and we're beyond excited to be building a new home at Macy's Herald Square!"
Founded in 2010 on the Lower East Side, Melt Bakery has two year-round locations - 132 Orchard Street on the Lower East Side and 111 Front Street in DUMBO - in addition to two seasonal locations on the High Line, spots in Urbanspace Markets including Vanderbilt and Mad. Sq. Eats, and carts at major NYC festivals like Afropunk, Panorama, and the US Open.
Melt Bakery's mission is simple: create delicious ice cream cookie sandwiches, and serve them up with a great customer experience. Melt's menu features classic and approachable choices, alongside seasonal and adventurous combinations. Since our debut in 2010, we have applied the same passion we have for food to our business, resulting in sustainable and responsible growth.
