Follow on Google News | Open Access BPO employees among NYC Marathon finishersBy: Open Access BPO This year's event cements the TCS NYC Marathon's stance as the largest marathon in the world, with 53,121 participants from every continent. Open Access BPO employees Jeff Aspacio, Ma. Leonisa Cantos, and Clint Ortiz were among the 52,812 runners from 129 countries who finished the race. They endured 26.2 miles of asphalt and pavement through New York's five boroughs. Aspacio, a first-time NYC Marathon participant, finished the race at 4:59:47. Returning for their second bid, Cantos and Ortiz finished the race at 5:18:47 and 5:51:06 respectively. The three Open Access BPO employees participated in the event as part of a partnership between the call center and Ryan's Run, a NYC Marathon Silver Charity Partner. Ryan's Run has been supporting the nonprofit healthcare organization Allied Service Integrated Health System in helping people living with disabilities and chronic illnesses. On the third year of this partnership, Open Access BPO donated $25,000 to the cause. This enabled the company to send three of its tenured employees to participate in the marathon and support a worthy cause.
