PRLog -- It's the most wonderful time of year at The Collection at RiverPark. Regarded as Ventura County's premier fashion, dining and entertainment destination, The Collection announces its jolly line-up of holiday events to keep the spirit of the season alive. .
The Collection will kick off its holiday merriments on Saturday, Nov. 17, with its Annual Tree Lighting Celebration, and will continue with cherished community favorites through Dec. 24th, such as Silent Santa, Breakfast with Santa, along with Santa Paws, Letters to Santa and more. New additions include Santa's Shopping List, a special holiday shopping guide from our stores, and Makers Market, featuring local artisans for unique holiday gifts.

2018 Annual Tree Lighting Celebration
Date: Saturday, Nov.17
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Location: Collection Park
Event Description: Ventura County's favorite event to kick off the holiday season returns with The Collection's Annual Tree Lighting Celebration. This free event will commemorate the occasion with the celebratory lighting of The Collection's holiday tree, followed by a capturing laser light and fireworks show. Live entertainment will ensue with performances from local favorites including Julien Martinez, who famously performed on NBC's hit reality show "The Voice;" West Quave Live and the Honeybee Tap Dancers.
Photos with Santa
Date: Nov. 17 – Dec. 24
Time: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 9:00pm
Friday - Saturday 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Santa's Beach House on Splash Pad
Event Description: The holiday season isn't complete without a photo with Santa Claus. Families and friends will have the opportunity to meet and take photographs with Santa in his one-of-a-kind, coastal-themed Beach House.
Note: Open for Santa's arrival on Nov. 17, from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. Closed on Thanksgiving. Open Dec. 24, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Santa will occasionally be unavailable for photos when attending events and on Milk and Cookie breaks.
Makers Market
Date: Nov. 17

Event Description: If you're looking for a unique gift for that special person in your life, look no further than the Makers Market being held in November and December. A collection of local artisans will be selling unique handcrafted goods to help make holiday shopping a little easier and more enjoyable. A community workshop will also be held in front of The Annex Food Hall for people to take part in a crafty and memorable afternoon.
Letters to Santa
Date: Nov. 17 – Dec. 24
Location: The Annex Food Hall
Event Description: Youngsters can sign, seal and deliver their Letters to Santa at The Collection's Santa Express Mail Box located inside The Annex Food Hall. Children may bring their own custom cards, or write their own special message on complimentary postcards available at Guest Services.
Santa Paws Pet Photo Nights
Date: Wednesday's Nov. 21 – Dec. 19
Location: Santa's Surf House on the Splash Pad
Time: 6 – 9 p.m.
Event Description: Whether your four-legged family members have been naughty or nice, Santa loves them all the same. Sponsored by Pet Food Express, patrons may bring their pets for Santa Paws Pet Photo Nights for a special snapshot with the big man. Pet Food Express will also be hosting exciting giveaways for all members of the family to enjoy. Be sure to head on over to Lazy Dog's Patio for Santa Paws Yappy Hour. Each pet that takes a photo with Santa will receive a free meal for pups.
Black Friday at The Collection: Coat Drive
Date: Nov. 23
Time: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: By the Holiday Tree
Event Description: In the spirit of giving, The Collection is partnering with One Warm Coat Drive and local nonprofit organizations collecting coats to donate to community members in need for the holiday season. The community is encouraged to donate any gently worn coats on Friday Nov. 23

Silent Santa
Date: Dec. 2
Time: Available to guests by appointment only.
Event Description: The Collection is overjoyed to host its annual Silent Santa event. The event welcomes children of all ages with Autism, hearing impairment, or other special needs to experience a private visit with Santa. Children and their families will be treated to a quiet and calm experience without crowds, music, jingle bells or additional stimulation. Families will be able to spend quality time with Santa and have their photo taken for memories that will last a lifetime.

Story Time with Mrs. Claus
Date: Mondays Nov. 19 – Dec. 17
Time: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Location: The Annex Food Hall
Event Description: Sponsored by Sunny Smiles Dentistry, you can grab the little ones and join Mrs. Claus as she treats youngsters to delicious goodies and story time as she reads her favorite holiday tales. Registration is required to attend.
Menorah Lighting
Date: Dec. 9
Time: 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Location: Collection Park
Event Description: Join us for the lighting of the Menorah at Collection Park. Hosted by Chabad of Oxnard, the lighting will include a live band, entertainment and traditional Hanukkah treats.
