The festival of lights, Diwali is all about embracing the beauty of Indian culture and its ethnicity. Geared up with the same essence, every employee at SynapseIndia came in ethnic attire. The celebrations commenced with enjoyable photo sessions that witnessed huge participation from everyone. From group photos to single clicks, there was a lot of hustle and bustle of different poses.

Post lunch, everyone gathered in the common area for other fun activities such as -

Diwali version of Scavenger hunt
Diya making competition
Dress-making from waste
Best dancer
Best dressed person

The relay of competitions commenced with the "Diwali version of Scavenger hunt". This game had 5 individuals who were asked to find out items related to Diwali such as Diyas, or earthen lamps, candles etc. that were hidden somewhere in the office premises. The individual with the hight number of collection was to be announced as winner. This event had members running around the certain area of the office in the lookout for Diwali items. This game went on till 20 mins and in the end, we had a winner.

Then came the group events which started with "Diya making competition" where there were four teams (A, B, C & D) with 5 players in each team. The competition comprised of decorating four diyas in a time period of 15 minutes. Each team was provided with 4 diyas and other items to decorate it. The team with the best decorated diya was to be announced as the winner. To everyone's surprise, Team B with all the males in the team won the competition.

The next game in the lot was "Dress-making from waste" competition. This was quite a quirky game that required the teams to build a dress out of the waste which meant that only creativity will lead the team to the position of a winner. But each team had gain energy and enthusiasm from the previous game, ergo, each member started to discuss the ideas for the dress early. When the competition began, it was the craziest moment for everyone! Member from all the teams were trying to make dress as best as possible. Eventually, during the game, only one bottle of glue was left which ignited moments of madness among all the team members. Everybody wanted the glue but it wasn't an easy task. It was in the end that it was revealed that the organizers have provided less glue on purpose which was to check which team would make the optimized use of the glue. As the name suggested itself, to win the competition making the best use of the less available resources was the key idea here. Finally, the moment came when the winner was announced. This time it was the team C with all female members that was announced as winners. They have created the best dress out of the waste materials provided. Moreover, the team utilized each material perfectly with no left overs.

After the group events were completed, everyone was asked to hit the dance floors. From Punjabi hits to Bollywood grooves, everyone was seen dancing in their own style and signature steps. After half an hour when everyone had danced to their full capacity, the HR department asked everyone to gather around as the time have come to announce the "Best dancer" and the B"est dressed person". Post announcing the names, the prizes to the winners were distributed from the individual and group events as well.

Overall, it was an happy affair of fun and enjoyment at SynapseIndia.
