Robin Hamilton named chair of 2019 Magic Under the Mangroves gala

NAPLES, Fla. - Nov. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- The Conservancy of Southwest Florida announces Robin Hamilton as the chair for the 2019 Magic Under the Mangroves gala. Hamilton is a long-time Conservancy supporter and member of the Magic Under the Mangroves event committee.

"As we celebrate the 15^th anniversary of our signature gala, we are honored Robin agreed to lead us in this important milestone year," said Rob Moher, Conservancy of Southwest Florida President and CEO. "The environment has never been more significant to the quality of life we enjoy here in Naples. Magic supports our mission of protecting Southwest Florida's water, land, wildlife and future."

After growing up in Chicago, Robin's family moved to Florida. A graduate of the University of Florida, Hamilton appreciates the delicate nature of Southwest Florida's environment.

"As an avid scuba diver and boater, I recognize the compelling challenges our water and wildlife face," said Hamilton. "While growth in Collier County is vital, so is protecting our natural environment. The Conservancy is a science-based organization that balances smart growth with environmental protection."

Named one of the top charitable events in Naples, Magic Under the Mangroves supports the Conservancy's mission to protect the water, land, wildlife and future in Southwest Florida. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida is a not-for-profit environmental protection organization with a 55-year history in Naples. The Conservancy employs a staff of 65 in the areas of environmental science, policy, education and wildlife rehabilitation.

The 2019 Magic Under the Mangroves gala is set for Thursday, March 7 at the Conservancy Nature Center. The eco-chic event will feature a seated dinner by award-winning, certified green caterer Windows Catering, of Washington D.C.
