& CoveringFlorida.org Issues Critical Reminder:
Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2019 Coverage Opens Nov. 1 and Ends Dec. 15
(Lake Worth, FL – October 31, 2018) The Health Committee of the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC) is joining with CoveringFlorida.org to remind people that the Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2019 coverage begins November 1 and ends on December 15, 2018.
The USF College of Public Health's Florida Covering Kids & Families program is one of the largest Navigator programs in the nation. Navigators provide outreach and enrollment services to anyone looking to enroll for health care coverage in the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace. Florida Covering Kids & Families partners with five organizations, collectively referred to as the Covering Florida consortium, to provide Navigator services across the state of Florida.
Navigators are trained and able to help consumers as they look for health coverage options through the Marketplace, including completing eligibility and enrollment forms. These individuals and organizations are required to be unbiased. Their services are free to consumers. Covering Florida Navigators provide assistance in all of Florida's 67 counties and offer confidential one-on-one customer service, phone assistance, and virtual appointments.
Florida Covering Kids and Families coordinates this state consortium of navigators who can provide one-on-one assistance. Telephone and virtual assistance is also available. With one application, an individual can view their health plan options and find out how much they can save.
To schedule an appointment with a Navigator to discuss signing up for health insurance, call 877-813-9115 or visit www.CoveringFlorida.org.
