KATHMANDU, Nepal - Nov. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Phoksundo  Lake (3212 meters) above sea level, is one of the secluded scenic destinations in Nepal. Secluded in the sense that there were no road and flight connection to Dolpa district where the lake is located.

It is the deepest lake in Nepal, supplemented by the fantabulous scenery around it. In the past, it was a secluded place " Shangri- La". This scenic site was not accessible to the travelers as there were no roads. Only a few tourists who arrive for trekking in Nepal used to trek to Phoksundo Lake, however only a few numbers of them. The main problem was the infrastructure.

Now there is a direct road connection from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and from Nepaljung, a traveler may take a 4 wheel from Nepaljung to Pholsundo Lake via Tripura Sundari.

Domestic and international tourism in Nepal, particularly in Tripura Sundari Area (en route the lake) has seen the rise in their revenue. As per them, they used to earn USD 200-300 in 2 months. Now the revenue ceiling has raised to USD 450 per day. Hence, we can say, Nepal is a country for tourism. There are other secluded destinations in Nepal which is inaccessible due to poor infrastructure and no connection to that place.

Now, we are looking forward to seeing the development of luxury accommodation in this area that will fulfill the requirement of travelers who wish luxury tour packages in Nepal.
