Award-Winning Script-Writing Duo Launch Series - Nevekari Talks: The Supplicant

NEW YORK - Nov. 3, 2018 - PRLog -- Nevekari Talks, a series of documentary-style shorts that reveal the making-of story of scripts and films, written and produced, by Kevin Lennon and Ira Aron Rosenblum, launched today on YouTube.

In the first release, Nevekari Talks: The Supplicant, the writers discuss the inspiration, story and personal reflections on the tragic, human and historic elements they explore in this award winning adapted screenplay. A retelling of Euripides' "The Suppliant Women", the story tells the tale of an American soldier of Iraqi origin who is heroically killed in action in his former nation, and how the ultimate disposition of his remains divides his loved ones, as well as the internal politics of both countries.

The series Nevekari Talks was conceived as a way for the writers to expose their audience to the behind-the-scenes creative process, decisions, and elements that came together as they produced a film, or wrote a screenplay. Each episode is a chance for the viewers to get answers to questions they might have asked if they were sitting with the writers, or actors, in person. Topics range from the writing challenges they faced, the historical background of the story, or the personal background of an actor, that contributed to the final work.

The Supplicant screenplay won several awards at script competitions and film festival contests, including Best Drama Screenplay - 2015 Los Angeles Film and Script Festival.
