According to Willis, "In Florida this includes Bay, Franklin, Gulf, Taylor and Wakulla Counties where Hurricane Michael plowed through and left a trail of massive destruction." He adds, "The tax filing deadlines that started on October 7th are now extended until February 28, 2019."

Willis includes information about other relief programs and includes regulatory relief provided by the SEC to affected businesses.
Willis also focusses on the IRS efforts to prevent heisters from stealing from their coffers. He writes, "the government agency is getting better, but they don't get an A+ yet.According to the Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/10/19/thieve...), "The IRS estimated online robbers attempted to steal at least $12.2 billion, if not more, through identity theft tax refund fraud in 2016, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). IRS vigilance thwarted most of those attempts, but the fakers got away with at least $1.6 billion. The good news is the 2016 data represent a steady and significant drop in tax identity theft since 2012."
