SALEM, Ore. - Nov. 17, 2018 - PRLog -- State of the Oregon Real Estate Market

The Oregon Market is experiencing its traditional cooldown as we have entered into the seasonal period where homeowners, on average, have settled their families for school and the upcoming holidays.  The Portland Metro area had been experiencing a relative boon in listings and sales, and prices were on the rise during the spring and summer. However, with the seasonal change, except for a few areas lying along Interstate 5, Portland has seen a reduced increase in prices as the market adjusts alongside the proverbial hibernation period for Oregonians.  In the case of real estate cycles, we imagine that we are currently witnessing the beginning of Phase Two. If this is the case, then the construction of new homes and new sub-developments that we are witnessing right now will become the excess inventory of Phase Three that drives prices down; making it a buyers market going into the early 2020's. More to follow as we observe the changes in listings and sales.  Reference this article for our discussion on real estate cycles: https://sundancerealtyoregon.com/understanding-and-preparing-for-the-next-recession

Becoming A Power Team Realtor: Land of Big Money and Repeat Business

October 13, 2018
by Colin Marcum

For a Realtor, a real estate investor may be one of the most profitable clients you could ever have. Regardless of the state of the economy, they are out there looking for deals, securing properties, getting distressed properties back on the market, and, if you develop such a relationship with one, utilize you to list their properties on the MLS. They are the gift that keeps on giving, and they can provide you significant repeat business. Blow their socks offwith your exemplar performance, professionalism and; more importantly, results, and they may even refer you to their investment buddies. The real estate market is a people-business, and these people hold significant capital.

Getting More Clients with Targeted Marketing
October 29, 2018
by Colin Marcum

"If you market to everyone, then you market to no one."

You will see this statement paraphrased in multiple versions, but its root is based on the phrase, "If everything is important, then nothing is." The premise is that you will achieve better results, in whatever you undertake, if you focus on a select, narrow avenue of issues in which you can concentrate the lion's share of your efforts. This applies to the real estate industry as well. This article covers the discussion of differentiation when selecting a niche audience of potential clients, as opposed to everyone in the State of Oregon, will net you more clients overall.
