BAY SHORE, N.Y. - Oct. 29, 2018 - PRLog -- International Student Exchange is pleased to announce the release of their most recent update on their ISE Gives Back charity initiative. This initiative was designed to provide support to organizations that help and lend assistance to underprivileged children around the world. The most recent ISE update covers their ongoing partnership with Children Incorporated, which has helped children in need specifically across the US for the last 2 years, and details some of the programs funded through their $100,000 donation.

"Being able to launch this initiative and see how it has positively impacted so many people is an absolute honor," said Amanda Corey of International Student Exchange. "We have heard so many wonderful stories like the one from 'Amanda,' a young girl from Kentucky who received treatment at Shriners' Hospital for Children in Boston after she sustained severe burns during a house fire. It's news like this that keeps us moving toward our mission to bring people together for the greater good of the world."

In addition to this family in Kentucky, ISE's partnership with Children Incorporated has also resulted in far-reaching impact in many other places. In Washington, DC, their donation has provided funds for a weekend backpack feeding program for children that are unable to get food on the weekends as well as helping to fund "The Joyful Market,", a once a month food market where families with limited access to grocery stores can get fresh vegetables, fruit, protein, and more.

In Richmond, Virginia, the ISE-Children Incorporated partnership has resulted in the purchase of Legos and Lego base plates for the library at Broad Rock Elementary to be used in the math program which promotes coding, logistical, and higher-level thinking. A little further south in North Carolina, funds from the $100,000 donation have helped to sustain the Junior Appalachian Music Program, where children stay after school to learn traditional Appalachian instruments and culture. Across the country in Arizona, the donation provided funding for the building of a reading Pergola and native grapevines at Pinon Community School on the Navajo Reservation as well as supplies for students to turn grapes into jam for them to use at school and take home to their families.

Corey went on to say, "As if that wasn't amazing enough, ISE and Children Incorporated are currently sponsoring 119 children through this partnership, including 58 hard-to-place older boys and girls. It's truly remarkable what we've been able to accomplish together in these last two years, and we look forward to continuing this impactful work."
