Quiz Competition 'Tech-India' Under the name and Style 'Mind the Gap'

Having originated in London in 1968 as a safety warning, this phrase has now assumed the status of the most powerful weapon to be used in professional careers. It cries about mobilization of minds to identify what is missing and why, followed by the next question 'what could be.' It is the call bell for the doors of opportunity which are yet to be explored by the inquisitive minds.
Following suit, we at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology, an institute rated the Top Engineering Colleges of 2018, have applied this methodology to bridge the gap between industry needs and education system. The aim is to manufacture employment ready students which are acceptable and adaptable in the international scenario.
As a beginning, the first quiz competition titled 'Tech-India' under the name and style 'Mind the Gap', was organized at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi on 25th October. Around 850 students turned up from at least 50 renowned schools of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Baghpat, Panipat and Sonipat, which seems a very encouraging figure. Shri M S Bitta, Chairman, All India Anti-Terrorist Front, was the Chief Guest of the day.
The quiz was organized in association with The Hindu, a leading newspaper of India and co-sponsored by Dr. Oetker, the leading food company of Germany.
Out of these 850, there were 50 teams comprising of 200 participants who qualified for the elimination round and 16 could carry themselves to the semifinals and finally 6 teams for the grand finale.
Scholarships worth over rupees five lakhs (500,000+) were awarded to the winners and runner-ups along with many more attractive prizes like bikes form Alpha Vector, gift vouchers, discounted books from Campfires to name a few.
