BALTIMORE - Oct. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Anthony Michael Hobbs, a 13 year-old Baltimore prodigy, an award winning actor (PBS mini-series 'The Abolitionist") and filmmaker (One Nation, Naga Pixie) to appear on the "Youth Speak" panel at Impact Hub of Baltimore (10 E. North Ave, 21202) Friday October 26, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m..' The event, presented by Seeds of Promise, is to give youth a chance to speak and express themselves.

Hobbs will talk about his career as an award winning actor and filmmaker, which includes an acting role as a young Frederick Douglas in the Emmy Award nominated mini-series "The Abolitionist," a leading model in a Finish Line Athletic national print campaign and as actor/director in two of his own multi-award winning short films – One Nation and Naga Pixie (Imagination Lunchbox, LLC).

The "Youth Speak" Teen Lounge event is held in partnership with Heart of Worship G2P, Seeds of Promise, Empowering & Education Families n Northwest Baltimore, Heart Smiles, The BeMore Group, Bro Code Baltimore and Brothers in Action.  The Impact Hub of Baltimore is a co-working space that brings together a community of business owners, activists, creativity and professionals to collaborative act and drive positive change in Baltimore. It provides its members an inspiring space to conduct business and hold events.

Anthony Michael, as a motivational speaker, has spoke in the past for many community events to inspire young people to reach out for their dreams as he did. Those events include the Joe Gamble (NFL) Foundation's Career Scholarship Program, Black Writers Guild of Maryland, "Uplifting Minds II" Entertainment Conference of Baltimore, the Junior Honors Society, Root Branch Academy's Youth Film Festival and his own community event Imagination Lunchbox International Children's Film Festival (ILICFF).

As an actor Anthony Michael Hobbs has garnered eight awards and even attended the 2013 Emmy Awards in support of his role in the PBS film "The Abolitionist." His credits include a co-starring role in the DreamWorks documentary "How to Train Your Dragon: Dragons and Dinosaurs," a national advertising campaigned for United Way, Finish Line Athletics, Philadelphia's Villa Sports, Charles River Apparel, USDA's Healthy Kids and ToysRUs. He has also starred in television segments for the PBS Sprout Network and Comcast Xfinity Network.

As a filmmaker Hobbs' films One Nation and Naga Pixie, combined, has won over 14 awards which include "Grand Prize," "Best Youth Short," "Spirit Award" and "Grand Prize for Kids Shortz." His film festival ILICFF hosts its 3rd year in 2019 starting at the Shake & Bake Family Fun Center Saturday, April 19, 2019. ILICFF in the past was hosted at the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Community Hall and the Parkway Theatre in Baltimore.
